Primetime royalties KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil) and JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre) joined forces yesterday as they backed It's Showtime! in its sixth year anniversary concert held at Araneta Coliseum. It was held concurrently with Eat Bulaga's National Pabebe Wave Day when Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub) finally met each other.

The much talked about concert definitely did not lag behind the other noontime show - especially during the time these three couples showed up on stage. As we all know, KathNiel is the Teen King and Queen showed up in two primetime projects Princess & I  and Pangako Sa'yo and with already four box office movie hits. JaDine is the current talk of the town with their romcom flick On The Wings of Love. And who would ever forget LizQuen and their unexpected fresh and excellent showing in Forevermore? Knowing that the AlDub fever is on, Showtime definitely pushed all their luck and gave it their all - and true enough, these couples' presence boosted the crowd in Araneta, and made them trend worldwide as well.

It's no surprise that many would be interested about the statistics, rankings and ratings of the noon-time programs It's Showtime! and Eat Bulaga especially because both shows have forced each other into a healthy competition, providing the best entertainment in the country. Day to day, people tune in to their screens to know the latest happenings on AlDub and Pastillas Girl's quest to find true love. All of these became the newest trend in the noontime shows, capturing additional market for its unique story-telling and unscripted scenes. Whether you're an engineer, doctor, fruit picker in New Zealand, IT consultant in Australia - you'll surely get hooked with the Kalyeserye and Twitterserye.

However, recently, it has come to the Kapamilya noontime show's staff that their ratings have been dwindling down. But, according to their inside source, it seems that they have been maintaining their ratings and Eat Bulaga has just been getting a soar in their target market. With their AlDub Kalyeserye, they were able to increase their fanbase.

Upon the inception of Pastillas Girl, It's Showtime! got a new boost, their usual 13-14% ratings increased to 18%, enough to compete to the GMA 7 show. It was a significant boost considering the Aldub phenomenon. In fact, Vice Ganda even mentions AlDub in their show like it's not a big of a deal.

It seems that Vice Ganda knows the show business too well - it may be not their time to peak, but what they're doing is improve their show set in order to deliver something new to the audience.
